Browser Statistics
Posted: March 1st, 2010 | Author: Joey | Filed under: Whatever | 2 Comments »This is nothing more than a public service announcement. All web developers are interested in browser statistics. Unfortunately, most of the places we get our statistics from are heavily biased toward developers like ourselves.
My wife runs a business that has virtually no geek appeal. I’d link to her site, but that’d bias the stats. It’s not a secret, and is linked to elsewhere on this blog. So, take what you want from the following graphs.
The top half is the percentages for all browsers (that visit her site) and the bottom is for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Statistics for this blog are significantly different that those stats. If you’d like any other info, don’t be shy.

Do the browser stats from this site vary by state? I’m to lazy to look myself.
Out of the top five states that visit the site, California seems to have the highest rate of non-IE browser usage. Then Utah. Idaho, Texas, and Minnesota are all IE-heavy.
Out of the IE browsers, Idaho has the best percentage not using IE6. The rest were about the same.
